Bench Lakes Trail Idaho

I used it to find this hike and plan to continue using it for other hikes in the years to come.

You can proceed further by continuing on the trail to the left of the lake another 2 mile. Hiking to the bench lakes by way of the shuttle to redfish inlet trailhead. The journey to the series of bench lakes trail starts at the fishhook creek trailhead near redfish lake lodge. Partway through the hike is a detour up the hill to the first bench lake.
Take a left at the fork and head over a small creek bridge that will lead you along a ridge overlooking the western shore of redfish lake. The trail winds along redfish lake and then winds up mount heyburn. A spur leaves the main trail two thirds of the way across the moraine and climbs to the 2nd bench lake.
There are two more lakes above but you ll have to do a little rock hopping to get to them. You will walk about two thirds of the length of the lake before coming to the next fork. The trail traverses the western redfish moraine all the way to the redfish inlet offering nice views of the lake.
